Hey folks, I started 'upgrading' my beak era Focus 3000 pickups and ran into some issues. It appears that this guitars pickups are wired reverse phase. I say this because I wired a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge and a vintage Duncan STK -S2 in the neck and both are out of phase with the original Kramer middle SC. Anyone else find this issues?

A secondary issue is the STK-S2 is no hotter than the Kramer pup, so I'm wondering how hot those original pups are. Yes, I need to get a multimeter.

Those are rather weak pups.

About your problem, a quick fix would be to just swap the hot and ground wires of the middle pickup.

That's exactly what I did, and it worked. :toast I'm curious why that would be?

I figured they were weak, I wonder who they were made by.

You reverse the direction of current, thus also the EM field.

Dunno who made those for ESP back then, or if they made them in-house.
