You won't mess with the neck, just with the shim :)

Well I did it. It had a shim in it and I removed it. Got the Floyd down to a reasonable height. Got the Dtuna on. Now just to tweak action a tad. But I’m waiting on my trem stopper to properly level it. Thanks for the push. It was staying in tune nearly perfect.

The three frets that are visible look good, but hard to say from seeing only the sides. Dunno what the rest of the frets look like shrug .

The three frets that are visible look good, but hard to say from seeing only the sides. Dunno what the rest of the frets look like shrug .

The first 3-4 frets usually get the most abuse.
Use the wear on those as a gauge for a level & crown.

That's what made me start doing it myself - two out of three guitars I bought have severe wear at the first 3-5 frets... never understood how that's possible, I had guitars I played for decades and none of them had any fret wear worth mentioning.
