Hey guys, does anyone have a recommendation for a 6 screw vintage style Trem? The guitar has the narrow screw placement at 52mm or 2 1/16”. It kind of limits my options as I would probably go with a Gotoh, but they are tough to find with narrow screw spacing. I’m debating going for the supervee bladerunner, but it’s very expensive at $179. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

This bridge looks great. It does say dive only.

I also like the early PRS MANN bridges. You can still get them.

All the quality units are with bigger spacing, the GFS one is ok but can't compare to the really nice ones.

If you can go with the modern version with two posts, I'd definitely go with the modern american Fender trem, or Wilkinson VS100 or VS50-II. Way better tone and feel than any vintage-type copy.

Take a look at Wilkinson.

BTW you can also dowel the original holes and then go with the wide spacing, it's not visible once the trem is inside. The four middle holes will usually fit, you only need to dowel the outer two holes.

Thanks all.
That Floyd unit looks interesting. I like checking out the new designs to see how they have improved on the original. Coming in over $250 that thing is expensive!
The Mann is a great option I forgot about. I went over to their website, they want $50 extra for a black finish, making that a $230 unit.

I’m looking to setup 2 guitars, maybe I’ll grab one of the expensive units (Mann, Supervee, Floyd) and a GFS and see how they stack up. I kind of ruled out GFS early, but after you mentioned it I went to the website and it’s all quality components, just no frills and a great price.

Most of the aftermarket trems are vintage width or 1 1/8" so if you don't want to plug and drill there aren't too many options. Basically GFS or steel block the Mexican trem.

I was tempted to fit a two point standard strat trem on mine but ended up just fitting stainless steel saddles to the original bridge. May swap the block one day but it sounds fine to me with the standard one.
