Are you sure you didn't switch the leads at the output jack by accident?

I had this happen to me and the last thing I swapped was my cord, and that did it.
Apparently it had a shitty or a cold solder joint...

My guitars are all single humbucker with one volume so it really made me scratch my head.

I was very careful putting the jack in finding which tab went to the tip and which was the ground so I think that's alright. Everything goes through the 5-way so I'm thinking that's the issue. For instance: my tone pots change sound now but one works the middle pickup and one works the neck. Is that correct? No tone adjustment for the bridge pickup? I didn't touch anything on it other than the one pickup wire. Another question: Are all two pin tuners the same, no drilling, just bolt right onto a Kramer headstock? I have two stripped tuners that fall out when I take the strings off that I'd like to change. I'd like one part that actually fits this guitar. The new saddles were to wide, my new short shaft mini tone pots are still taller than the stock ones so my knobs set up off the pickgaurd, the new tip on the jack was way longer than the original so I had to notch out a small divot in the body so it would fit. I've used mostly Fender stuff but it all said IMPORT guitars so I thought I'd be fine. My next step on the hum before I take it back apart is to go to my buddies house and try it. He has a Marshall tube amp and high end cables so that'll rule out my cheap new amp or my model 200 Harmony tube.
