plate cleaning

Post by AAEA » Tue Jul 28, 2020 12:26 pm

so I got a kramer in and for some reason the guy pained the neck plate to black to match the guitar. It is an "e 2xxx" plate in chrome.
lol i scraped with my nail the serial area to identify it.

overall this guitar is a hodge podge of bits which are about to come apart. all of these parts are going up soon.
I own kramers :mrgreen

Soak it in brake fluid for a day. The paint will just bubble off.
That will ruin any paint. It will also never take paint again.
Brake Cleaner. I like the way that feels in my eye balls. That is always really fun. (NOT)

I'd use paint stripper, does what the name says.
